Not a dang thing then get home furnace is dead...going to teens and new one being installed Thursday. Company we went with, ya sorry can't come out till Wednesday..really and we chose you to install?
Then see message on machine that we both missed Daughter ill passing out and had needed me to help her out.
Seriously I practically begged you to text me during hunting season.
If I possessed Nards, I'm pretty sure they'd feel kicked about now.

    Well, 4 came.
I was trying to get into position on my front deck when came a load noise and they bolted.
I'm guessing a piece of wood in my smudge fire barrel burnt through allowing the next one on top to fall.
    Oh well.

Nothing for me tonight. No deer on camera after I left either.

Good luck everyone out this morning. Today and tomorrow in the office then its game on. Supposed to rain for couple days here soon so not sure what my plan will be. Might involve getting wet. Ive come too far to throw in the towel. If i get skunked on bucks this year it will be because i tried my hardest and failed. Not because i gave up like a wimp.

I'm going to try to get out Friday. The 'rona feels like it's starting to fade a little and I am literally sick of being cooped up in the bedroom

Cleaning muzzleladers today. Should be in a stand about 230. Sit the last 2hrs. Gonna try the furthest food plot, next to the brook, see if anything happens. Check non cell cams on the way out. As of the second to last day of rifle my 8pt was alive. Guess he was seen by a neighbor and he wouldnt shoot him on my lawn. Was chasing a Doe.

We need to start putting arrows in bucks. Late November buck needs to go down soon on this thread.

A late November buck could happen but I don’t have much confidence at all in the next couple of days. If I were going to hunt today I’d be getting in a tree about now and expecting movement from 1:00 to 3:00.

Where I’ve been hunting it’s dead right now. The first rut is winding down and we’re coming off a full moon. The does are hiding from amorous bucks and are only moving at night. No-one has seen any movement whereas a week ago bucks were moving everywhere.

I may put in a sit or two here at home the next four days, but Come Monday (sorry Jimmy Buffet) I’ll be hunting the first quarter moon hard here.

Sunday the 10th I’ll head back to Arkansas (weather permitting) to hunt the new moon from the 11th through the 14th. The timing should be good.

thank goodness gun ends Sunday .. one week break then ML opens the 9th for 2 wks ... I'll be in the bow only area when I go back out for the rest of the season .. ..... rain Thurs/Fri .... may go down anyways Fri just to pull a cam .... depends on how hard the rain will be ... be back out the 8th/9th weather permitting ... .... while I wont kill a dink buck, I will be trying for a good 1.5+ Doe and IF a good buck gives me a chance, well .... good luck to all ...

All settled. At the family farm sitting in one of the shooting houses we have. Hidden corn field next to deep woods... not super picky here. Nice buck in the 30s would probably get the boom lowered on it.

    View for the afternoon.

Looks like a killer kind of spot BHH.

Had some racks I had Europeand done years ago in storage.
    Though, what the heck.
got them hung up under my deck overhang. Not really sure if I like it.

    What says this peanut gallery?

    To much?
