    My cams in VT were active 0100-0430. Does and small Bucks. The big boys are still hiding.

    In NJ I have Doe and small Bucks at last light and then throughout the night. One or two small Bucks between 11-1300. No big Bucks there either.

    Been an odd year for sure concerning the Big Bucks.

    I'm trying to get my energy back to make a push during late season. Work is getting in the way with long stretches of 6 and 7 days in a row. I have four cameras sitting out taking inventory until season end. Trying to decide which properties to keep hunting or leave behind. I am still a real newbie around these properties.

    This is really what I need.....

    I'm going out today for the last 2hrs to sit in a blind over the turnip plot. It's very hard to get motivated especially in VT. Still holding out for a good January in NJ.

    I’m back at my truck. Didn’t see a deer.

    I think that’ll do it for this trip. I’ll take it easy the rest of the day and head home first thing tomorrow.

    Home for a week or two probably. I’ll hunt off and on there.

    I’d like to be back here to chase does on either the 3rd quarter moon or the new moon.

    I also have a couple of other places in Arkansas I can hunt but if I go there I have to put up with family. :lol:

    I am not family, does that make me more tolerable? I have been averaging seeing 3-4 does per sit.

    My personal observations have led me to believe there is something to this. Cameras started popping around 13:00.

    On Friday, day after Thanksgiving I saw three, that was the last time I hunted. Not counting youth hunts with my boys, I have hunted six times, seen an average of three to four deer per sit, killed two of the four that came in range.

    Back home in MO after a few days in Iowa. The snow messed up the area I was hunting due to the lack of food.
    In the Banks Blind tonight with my beautiful bride!! If you’re interested in getting a hard sided blind these are one of the best, for sure!!

    Got here to late. Deer are already out which surprised me.
    First nice day in 5 days and I'm stuck window watching again.
