Almost had a doe. About 10 minutes left had a doe pop out at 60 yards. She slowly worked her way towards me and I lost light when she was at 40. Just to dark and to far.

Had higher hopes for this property. But I think it was a off night. The amount the beans are eaten down, has to be many more deer in there. It's a long drive for me and probably won't get to hunt it as much as I would like. Ended seeing 2 small bucks and 2 doe for the evening.

They are a bit pricey. This one was quoted at 3900. I got this one basically brand new off marketplace for 1500. They are very nice to have though.

It’s about the same forecast here and I’m really hoping they’ve got it right. It’ll sure beat the usual which is sweat running down my back.

Been chasing this guy for two years “Pincher” we are playing games now. I am 85% sure I know where he is bedded right now. I need him to get up and come out to the beans. [IMG]

I have never sat right here before… we shall see. He came in this block of woods at approximately 0640 during broad daylight. He likely did not go far and will hopefully coming back out the same way. The sun is setting behind me so these beans are already shading.

I'm spent. Followed a game trail over the mountain for about 2 miles. Started picking up tracks...had to be fresh as it rained last night. No fresh scat, no wallows...in fact less water than I expected. About mile 3 I found water and fresh scat...steamy fresh.the next mile got western.

Finally caught up to a small group which I bumped. About 60 yds.a cow and 3 other unknown...shortly after, bugling below me. I got into another group in about 1/4mi. Saw a sm bull feeding...I could only see 3 points (not legal), a cow then appeared and bedded facing me at about 50. No shot as I was in some crappy pine stand.

I'm running low on water, And now I'm heads down pushing for a stream on the map. Ran into another group about a dozen. 60 yds and again, no shot.

The stream I pushed for was dry... This sucks. 3 advil.some banana chips, charging my phone and drinking my emergency electrolytes. I'll gonna push a couple hundred more yds, maybe this other stream has water.

The plan is to bivy tonight and hunt my way back tomorrow...and I know 3 good places to look

Pincher came out at 75 yards and worked away from me. Still has a buddy with him so I am a betting man he is gonna go back and bed in the same spot. I am gonna have to kill him from the ground.

Post script. The other stream was dry. I saw there were supposed to be a couple ponds nearby so I went to check them. No ponds, but did find a small creek...and two wallows, one all muddy and trampled at the edges indicating event use. Had a bull bugle when filtering the water.

Had dinner...another bull is cracking off about a 1/4 mile away.
