Neighbor texted me asking if I was out with the muzzleloader… No?? Said he’s pretty sure someone was on our place this morning. Hoping it was the neighbor who had permission for early doe season and not some random. FIL doesn’t usually give just anyone the option to hunt it. Anyway… The triple beam buck from earlier this fall made it and showed back up this morning. He’s going to be a STUD if he makes it the rest of this year. If I’m being honest I’ve lost just about all drive to go sit in a tree after Mega was killed. If I was out of venison it would be a much different story I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Congrats LC, today was pa opener for rifle. I had my bow and rifle bc I like to complicate everything as much as possible haha. Saw 12 doe and 5 young bucks. The one buck came in with its leg swinging full 360* made me sick and bedded behind me, when he stood up I dropped em with my .308. Not how I wanted to use my Pa buck tag, but I respect these critters to much to see em suffer. Anyways I still have Ohio buck tag and heading to IA for 2nd gun.
You did the right thing Brother. I did that last year in Ohio because someone shot it's back leg at the knee and it was actually walking on it. Definitely makes you sick in the stomach when you see it but you have to end it.
Makes me mad people just fling lead I know crap happens but come on, also had to confront a guy and his kid they shot 3x on my lease, once I heard the shots I got down and hurried there way. He gave me a long drawn out story about how the buck was across the road and they shot it and tracked it over then shot it 3x to finish it. He was name dropping people, I told him don’t care who you know, you know what you did is BS and if your kid wasn’t here it be a different story, allegedly the kid shot the buck in the beginning. He couldn’t take me to blood, it was a bunch of BS and I had enough. Got his plate, recorded the video of me confronting him and sent it to my buddy who is a DNR officer for Pa. People are goofballs and I think this is officially the last year I hunt with a gun in PA.
You do what you need to do to stay in the game buddy. Should be no shame in picking up Xbow. Lots of archers go that way for one reason or another.
I’m out nothing for me got a late thanksgiving dinner today back at it in the morning Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

I am with you - after the firearm season and lack of deer sightings, its hard to get motivated. Luckily, I still have venison from last year, too.
