I know it’s been a long while since I last updated. Sorry about that. The shot was much better than I thought. That buck was dead where I last saw him but I wasn’t taking any chances. He’s no giant but he’s a good Wattensaw buck. The arrow looked and smelled great and we had a fairly decent blood trail from the arrow but since we had brought Rip all the way back there we turned him loose. It was a short track job for him. Here are three pics. The arrow, Rip, Bubba (Rip’s owner) and the buck and one of me and the buck:
Man, time change sucks this is an early morning!!! Coffee brewing and I’ll be heading south shortly!! Good luck out there today guys
Alright johnny! Congrats what a handsome buck. im pulling out of my subdivision and see the full moon wondering if the deer are running. As soon as i turn my brights on i see a nice buck all over a doe. LETS GO!!!!! This is FAR from over!!!!
I downsized a little too extreme. Got my saddle and sold 5 lonewolf setups. Ended up leaving my platform and sticks in a tree so i could rush home to watch a movie with my daughter before her bedtime. So here i sit with a NE wind and no run and gun setup. Geez. I may sneak in somewhere and hunt from the ground i guess. Either that or go pull that set. Its so dead calm and quiet and that set is in an area that hard not to make noise though. Decisions decisions.
