Just had three does go by me at 40 yards. I was looking the wrong way. Out of range before I could pick up my bow.

I am home now. Found a good fresh rub line and a couple of places where the deer can cross the creek.

I made a mistake setting up this morning. Deer movement always comes from the east in the mornings in this spot. I meant to set up on the west side of tree, looking east, accidentally reversed that in the dark.

At Rivers blind, snowed a bit today there's just a dusting on the ground. I shot last years gun buck here. Let's hope anything this year crosses line a tad closer That was a long shot, though great lets ot push it.
This mornings card pull had doe fawn and 3 young buck. Big boys may be gone we'll see.
    Good luck

You in saddle? I adjust my platform and tether all the time. Hang from tether or stand back on top stick. Loosen platform and slide around the tree. Usually do this on longer hunts to stay in the shadow of the tree if it makes sense

I made the drive to Wattensaw WMA in Arkansas this morning and I’m set up in what I believe is a good spot.

Two good bucks have fallen to club members in the past two days and all reports indicate the rut is in full swing here.

If would be nice to see some activity for a change.

This particular tree had a big branch that prevented me from doing that or I would have.

We’re home, didn’t see a thing. Rut just hasn’t blown open here quite yet, expect it to happen any day now.
I’ll be back out tomorrow, don’t want to miss out on the chase phase blowing open. This is the last weekend of the season here.

Looks like I'll be walking home in snow flurries. Glad I have a bag to cover barrel.
