Happy Thanksgiving everyone! And good luck to those that are out this morning. I will be out tomorrow. Bringing the kid, he’s itching to sit in the blind with me, and he wants to see some smoke. So muzzleloader it will be.
Had a good morning in the goose blind, no shots fired but still had some fun! Be back after it with the bow on Saturday and I can’t wait!!! Have a great thanksgiving all!
I haven’t seen anything going to give it till about 1230 then go eat with the family Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Saw nothing but the bunny and blue Jay's. I pulled card on way home and 1-3a.m. they had a party in the plot. Only 3 small buck with doe and fawn. Stopped by coop to feed and water, I scratched Dinner 4's head and let her know what a lucky turkey she is today. Have a Great THANKSGIVING everyone. This will be our first year ever with everyone doing their own thing. Hubby and I will relax and have a giant grilled sirloin steak. Made a turkey dinner last Saturday .
No thanks, I like being married. A smart man makes the apple crisp to relieve his wife’s stress levels preparing dinner.
Had an easy shot at a big doe with 20 minutes of legal left. Can't believe it but I whispered " it's your lucky day lady" and didn't shoot. Why, I'm not sure. Strange? Please Lord, don't allow me to hit THAT stage in life.
Ahh when I don’t feel it I don’t shoot, sometimes it’s just a win to know ya coulda. Especially when it’s on my last tag I prolong it.
Heading in nice morning here 37 degrees good luck everyone Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I was going to rifle hunt this morning, but a last minute check of the wind said sit with the bow. No biggie, swap weapon and hold the orange...until, I got to the tree and can't find my release... I'm here anyway. If I have a good opportunity, i'll be relying on the ol split finger draw.
Thanksgiving round 2 today with my side of the family… going to eat too much again, but tomorrow I’ll be in the tree! Hopefully my gear still fits after two thanksgivings in a row
I am in. Sitting at a bend in the creek that bucks like to cruise. White oaks and redoaks around me. I think there is a creek crossing about 30 yards east of me. Hopefully, the deer want to play on this side of the creek this morning. 30 minutes til shooting light.
