I hope so too… but hoping I don’t catch the bug for it too bad, I’ve heard of waterfowl hunting ending deer hunting careers… just kidding. My passion for bow hunting runs deep

That’s amazing! Good on you for talking to people, I got permission to hunt South Dakota on a 10k acre property bc I bought a lady a coffee in Iowa and talked politics with here while mixing creamer haha. Never know!

I have buddies that waterfowl and they carry on in these underground huts and cook breakfast and chew, smoke stoagies and are loud. It sounds appealing not gonna lie haha. Don’t think it gets much better than killing deer with archery equipment tho.

Jake, I know that area well. Been there coyote hunting quite a bit.
Purty boring for deer. Yes, some Dandy bucks but likely gonna be a spot n stalk hunt.
Don't get wrong, by boring I mean not alot of trees. With time, patience, you can get within bow range stalking.
Good chance I've killed coyotes on that ground.

    Congrats SunCrest. .

My hunted ended short. It got real windy and blew the steel lid off my smudge fire barrel.
I could see embers flying out so I had to bail out of my stand and take care of that. Then a cold beer sounded good.

Sounds like a blast! But that’s not my idea of hunting. I like sitting in a tree in the silence waiting for that perfect deer walking sound. But I’m sure tomorrow will be a good time with or without geese.

Small game, upland, and waterfowl hunting is WAYYYYYYY mor fun than deer hunting… by a mile.

Deer hunting gives you the bigger rush if you connect or get close

    I said what I said

Its neck and neck when the waterfowling is real good. I would be in a tree with my bow if it came down to it though. Every time.

Im up with ya! Wifey said be home by 11 so a morning hunt it is. Im sitting here in driveway to my spot and deer ar lighting my cameras up. They are on the move big time. Almost hit a little buck on way here and there were all kinds of deer in the winter wheat and corn fields on way here. Moving for sure. Gonna ease into a little plot we have that butts right up to some doe bedding. They like to hit it on their way back from the bigger feed fields. Good luck! And Happy Thanksgiving

I disliked your post on purpose.

    I did what I did!:moose:

Happy Thanksgiving to the LFTS crew.

I am thankful for how caring you are, all the prayers you send up, how you desire success for each other, and how you cheer each other on. You make my season more enjoyable. Thank you for the advice given and the lessons learned. I love the LFTS CREW. Have a wonderful day. I'm out for a quick hunt this morning. Zero keeper walleye yesterday on the DetroitRiver...but a great group of guys to fish with. 20231122_200512.jpg
