Man, I’ve seen 4 mature does so far and zero bucks. I got about 2 hours of daylight left. Let’s hope a good one shows up. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Not a shooter but it’s a buck. Big 4 point with no brow tines. He came in to 35 yards and freshened a scrape.
Out again with the kids. This time my 2 boys. Good luck too all that are out. Sucks about the buck BNB
I’m finally back in a tree on my home place. After the two week trip I needed a few days to recharge. I’m doe only with a gun but I don’t care. It’s just nice to be out this afternoon.
On another note, since I have a gun with me I feel kind of naked without my release on my wrist after all of the bow hunting I’ve done so far. It just feels like something is missing.
Out with 450 tonight. I'll only shoot a buck tonight. Starting tomorrow does back on the menu. A former student shot this beast 3/4 mile from where I am sitting. Im guessing upper 160s.
slept for 11 hours, I was/am wore out, feel like a rut worn buck ....when I finally woke, I looked out and thought I should have went out, cloudy/NW winds/cooler ... we never got much rain .. oh well, got my running around done, went to see my buddy whos got a great taxidermy shop and see what he's taken in.... hes got some damn good racks in already and expect more after gun opens tomorrow, I'll go back over tomorrow to see if he and another buddy do any good with the guns ... I'm in hibernation mode for a few weeks waiting for gun to end ... once again, Good Luck To All ...
Inadmissible. 2 pics with the deer and weapon...it's in the rules. But, seriously, hope she's OK. The next and most painful bit, will be at the body shop.
She is fine, apparently so is the buck. He returned to his hooves and continued after the doe. Tuff animals. My wife said he was bigger than the one I shot. Add salt to the wound. Told her has to recover the deer first or it doesn't count
I’m back at the house. I saw nothing, but that always happens when gun season has been going on for a week. Maybe a doe will walk by in the morning.

Light em up! I regret not going out to Nellis for the show they (used to?) put on, when my BIL was stationed out there...

been there, done that... by 'there' I mean Pohakuloa/Mona Kea training area on the Big Island and the Zambales in the Philippines .. Back then it was A4 Skyhawks and F4 Phantoms ... stay safe ... Semper Fi....
I hunted on military bases for a couple decades. Many a day I was scared crapless when a large bomb was dropped. Hahaha
