Good luck out there everyone! Set up at the gun club, only have until about 8 (have plans in place if I shoot one) and then I’ll have to get down and get to work. Sitting in the same spot I shot my buck last year on 11/16, maybe this will be my lucky date!!!! Good luck everyone shoot straight!

I will get ducks in a row today and set up hubbies dinner before going to be with family member for their surgery in morning
Please keep them in prayers for a good out come and clean results.

Good frosty morning here in VT but I am getting the boys ready for school and out the door. May get out later today. Kinda hard when the cameras were going good the first 13 days of the month and then they just stop. VT is tough, the kinda place where if you sat for an entire week you might see a deer let alone shoot at one. Until the snow flies the deer are incredibly spread out, once the snow comes they hammer the food plots. Late season is best here. Good luck everyone.

Little guy came by and worked the scrape. I appreciate the effort.

Well what was supposed to be my big week of hunting has not turned out that way. I got to go Monday and Tuesday and then my wife came down sick. She told me to go ahead and go and she would still be fine to take care of my mother. Nope, not gonna do it. So I missed yesterday and today. I hope to get out tomorrow but it's supposed to rain, we'll see. Anyway, our gun season starts on Saturday and I don't ever gun hunt. I'm thinking I might just go ahead and hunt with the bow during that time. Who knows, maybe all the shooting will have them up and moving. Rant over! Good luck to all who are out today.

Sorry to hear about that Jim. I hope you do get out more with the bow or gun.

Yesterday was SLOW for us on the farm. Last year 7 deer shot on opening day....this year zero! I did see a bigger buck 400 yards away chasing, but could not see well enough to see details.

    Good luck out there today.

Nov 15=peak does in estrus. Action may get better this weekend and into next week as the number of does in estrus lowers.

They are all exhausted from multiple trips to pound town. Rut's over, go home and try again next year.

I’m back home, had some jerk walk right past me ,despite me flashing my flashlight, 10 minutes before legal light. Went down the trail I was expecting the deer to come from, ended up seeing one unidentified deer at 80 yards then kicked a doe up on my way out

Get right into doe bedding. Don't expect cruising. Risk being busted.

Little eight worked towards me but never came closer than 40 yards. He was just big enough to get me thinking about it. Wandered off very slowly.

Oh for sure Jim. I used to love the gun season with the bow. Deer getting pushed everywhere, killed some good stuff.
Are you sure that you don’t need a gun tag though? Over here we do

I had that same 7 pt, 1 1/2 walk under me again. Everywhere I go, he’s there.
Couple minutes later I called a bigger buck to me from a ways off. He was a smallish 8 pt, .
Not sure if I would have shot or not.
He hung up at about 60, made a scrape, beat a couple saplings and walked off.
Turkeys galore this morning, wow. They were all around me but never presented a shot.
I really wanted to deflate one, bad!
    Good stuff!
