    A severe thunderstorms coming in now. Have lightning hit within a mile of me. Think I'm might get down and go home. Was a chance is was going to miss, but looks like I'm going to get hit by it.

    That was crazy! Storm hit really fast with high winds. Before I could even tare down my stand, the wind, rain and lightning hit hard! I had to take cover. Had huge trees blowing completely over all around me. A huge tree fell only about 30 yards from me and the whole ground was shaking. Wild experience. I made it out safe and soaking wet.

    Back out in same spot for the evening. Hopefully the bull I saw in here last night wants some cows.

    After I posted about the cow this morning I had a spike come in. I heard popping and cracking above me in the timber and so stayed put. Let out a few cow calls. He circled around and then slipped in underneath me and came to 20 yards, had a tall bush between us. I got drawn but he never took the couple more steps I needed. He finally caught my wind and buggered out.
    Hoping for some more action tonight, going to get after it.

    I was in a tree stand in NH over a bear bait station. No bears but I did see a blonde coyote at 50yds. Good evening to sit in a stand. No service in the White Mountain National Forest.

    My son harvested a Doe in NJ today which is the NJ opener. His Buck tag is open and he will be looking for horns tomorrow.

    Arrow launched. Small bull that came in quiet. 25 yard shot. Sevr 1.5 went clear through. Think it was a good hit.
