 He asked if he should shoot a doe that was coming in and all I said was “not if you want to kill a buck”.

This is my favorite story so far this season. What an unforgettable memory. Good Friendships truly are a blessing. I sit here at 41 years old just hoping i have another 40 seasons left in me and have a friend as good as you that will be there with me BNB.

We had to finish our last deck project of the year. Special order handrail to repair a fire damage deck. We replaced the brown decking and put up the handrail - that's why I couldn't hunt last night. Today is the gun opener and I have the 450. Got to the stand 2 hours before light. Hope to sleep a little before bang bang time. Good luck today. 20231114_173605.jpg

Ok. November is half over. The supposed best days are behind us. Are we gonna let that keep us from Smokin Toads and Mashin Taters? NO! We are gonna dig in and not let those wiley whitetails get the best of us. We are gonna get up earlier, drink one more cup of coffee, put in a bigger dip, turn our tighty whities inside out and kill!

Turkeys getting after it. Winds swirling. Beautiful morning, it’s great to be alive.

Same here in VT. September would be great but VT doesn't let us hunt in September. DECEMBER though is awesome in VT! Temps get cold. Deer get hungry. Snow starts to pile up. Deer become food dependent and even the big boys daylight at the food plots to put the fat on before winter reallyconfines them to the deep softwoods where they eat sticks and pine needles.

I am sitting here, but not silent. I think it must be Squirrel Royal Rumble. I am hearing them from 360 degrees! 3 different chases! Not 1 deer yet??

Heading to the bow shop today to check out the new lift. I plan to place an order since I am left handed. Not sure if even shooting it right handed would let me know how it really feels to shoot it anyway. This bow is going to be a big upgrade from the heli-m. Right up my alley.

Good luck if you are hunting today!

One step at a time my man. House, barn, full time camp are all done. Solar will be completed by December, then it's time to work on water retention and greenhouse for next year.

Anytime y'all want to put together a BH.com Appalachian hunt just let me know and we'll figure something out
