Boy am I okay with eating my own words sometimes. Doesn't take long for a hunt to change and that proved true Saturday evening. Dropped the cape off at the taxidermist yesterday. He said expect it to take roughly a year to year and a half to get it back with the amount of work he has.

I just snuck into the edge of this bedding off an overgrown gas line, I have a buck tending a doe now. He’s a shooter, I’m getting a show !! I’m only 40 yds, if they break the woods he’s done.

Ok im going to give you all some very, very, valuable deer hunting advice. Now i dont share my secrets with just anyone ok? Ok ready? If you need to grab a pen and paper go ahead. Ok. When you go to snort wheeze at a buck you see cruising through the timber, do not, i repeat DO NOT, accidentally snort wheeze in the wrong hole. One is for grunting and one is for a challenge call. ‍♂️ wth. I guess i should forget about my patience stay put strategy and go ahead with my aggressive move to the bucks strategy. Anything within 200 yds just heard a goose get strangled IMG_5558.jpeg

No deer but I found 2 new rubs. One on a 12in tree waist high that's just breaking Cambium, 32 yards from a blind. 2nd is 15yrds out a sapling near rubbed in two. One in front of other. I found another cam in Saddle gear bag and put it out in area. Will be headed back out in a bit

Just had a spike go full bore into the pines where this buck and doe were and deer just exploded everywhere hahaha. Watching Turkey now, got a tag if one gets close enough.
