Good luck to those on stand, alway a good morning when on the deer stand!

I forgot to tell you guys about the ticks. I got into them bad last night. I got home took a shower then spent the next hour and half just picking ticks off. Not exaggerating easily over 100 ticks. Then had my wife check my entire body again and she found another 25 or so. Felt like my entire skin was crawling.

Good luck all.....it's a wash opening morning for me. Yotes howled and carried on ALL night last night. Alarm went off and I turned it off. Sitting here all dressed having planned a 8 till noon hunt and it had started to rain a bit. Forecast changed again, go figure. Radar doesn't show much so may do a observation unwind sit here in a bit from one of the blinds.
Don't know what had those coyotes so riled up,but they woke me 3x's with their nonsense. Breeding season I suppose.

One year I was hunting a hot October dy and unzipped my pants at the knees to allow for some air as I walked. Got home that night and started to itch like heck. I must have hit the chigger hot spot bc over the next day I got hundreds of chiggers bites from my feet to my stomach. Worse itching than poison ivy or chickenpox. Oatmeal baths. Antihistamines. Lol. It sucked!

Do you treat your clothes in permethrin? This has been a game changer for me early season.

I don't because I don't have much dedicated hunting closes. I have few pieces that I could try and see if it makes a difference. Usually just September and I rough it out every year.

Spotty service. no luck last night but did glass a bull at last light.
Went to spot where the bull was this morning. Just about got a shot on a cow, had her at 17 yards, got drawn, but then she took off as I was putting my pin on her.
    So close.

It will make a huge difference if you treat with permethrin.
