All set up for the evening sweating like crazy, now that I’m set up there’s actually a decent breeze and it doesn’t feel terrible but that walk in was brutal!!! In the saddle 12 yards from where he was standing in shooting light last night
I am in a tree. It’s hot. Same tree I shot my buck out of last year. I did not scout or trim lanes at all. All my cameras are dead and have been since the spring. I have one that is still on and I have several good bucks on it. I got beans in front of me, corn/bedding to my left, bedding behind, bedding to the right. I am likely surrounded by deer. Just waiting for sunset. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Wind is picking up from the storms that are coming in after dark. Sun is getting lower and the temp is coming down slightly. Dad saw 1 doe so far. Anytime now on is when they have been on camera!
I agree. I keep checking in. Its that time of the night here. I don’t want to miss something. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Nothing else for me tonight! Heck of an opening day, been up since 2:45, going to sleep good tonight… except for replaying messing up those bucks over and over lol
No shots fired for me. Ran into a lot of hunter pre season sign. Heavy used trail, ladder sticks. Then I pushed past it about 50 yards to were I wanted to be. After I setup, I could see a camera about 40 yards down the creek. About 1 hour before dark had 2 does coming in fast. They got to about 10 feet from that camera and locked up. Then proceeded to stomp and blow for 5 minutes. One did get to about 25 yards, but to thick for a shot. Also had a big doe with 2 fawn coming at the same time from behind me. They locked up because the doe blowing. They all turned and went back the way they came. I was close to getting a shot. Did get to see a snake eat a frog, that was neat!
