Dang what a day! Congrats to @Wedes and im gonna save my congrats @cantexian but im confident you are gonna find that one. Arrow looks killer. If you heard that diaphragm pop and the arrow looks like that you should be golden! My day was slow again. Once again i may have screwed myself. Keep having bad luck on my approach to stand. Ive run my strategy by a few different people and all agree im doing it the logical way but nothings logical during rut. You can theow logic out the window a lot of times. Pretty sure the Grateful 8 blew at me on the way in this AM. It was a big buck blow. Not the annoying nagging old nanny blow. It was one big super deep blow and that was it. Had a little action. Few does came through. One bedded 20 yds from me for awhile (bait pile). Then had a little 2.5 yr old come in begging to get shot. After that it got slow. I know this game though. Ill be back at it in the AM. 2:30am alarm . Oh yea check out this track. One of the bigger ones ive seen in awhile. I got a Shaquille ONeille Buck running around. You arent the only one reporting slow movement. We need highs in the 40’s not lows in the 40’s

    Shocker, that is SO true!
If you have the time, just get out and hunt this time of year.
For those of you that have limited time/ lands access, just get out there!

It can happen anytime, anywhere and often where you least expect it!
What happens 15 minutes ago will quickly be forgotten if the right doe is smelling good.
    Seen it MANY times.

No luck in Missouri, still here watching the fire and slaying Busch lattes. Pretty sure @LittleChief killed every deer in the Mark Twain national Forrest. Best chance I had was a big fat brown squirrel.

Got him, he wasn’t 10 yards past where I stopped when my wife called me about the fire. Nothing too brag about, 3.5 year old public land buck with a basket 8 point rack. But, he ends four year buckless drought.

Time to learn this public land thing, how to's and maps up first. See if I can get it done with a bow before next weekends shotgun season. Some people swear the week heading into gum season is the best time. I have always preferred the first two weeks of November but maybe when they start coming off lockdown looking for the late/unbred does things pick back up before the boom sticks start sounding off. I've never hunted that week.

Congrats to all the killers the past couple days. I just got out of the truck from the 16hr ride back from Missouri and had some Mac n cheese and Kelbasi to wash the taste of tags soup out of my mouth. I don’t think I will be hunting in the am but I’ll be out in the pm. Need to get some hunting closed washed.

This post has been bugging me. Just now found the deer in the middle pic, thought it was an accidental upload
