My son (7) and I are in the blind. His first hunt ever! I just want him to see something with me.

20231110_162606.jpg I'm in a tree 40 yards from their yard! Homeowner says he's been seeing some browsing here every night. Let's hope it works out. A short sit. On the edge of the thickness. I need to kill this weekend.

Should have put on another layer. Persistent wind is cutting through me. 53 degrees and I'm trying not to shiver

I was making grunt noises by mouth yesterday. Sounded pretty good to me. Tried it 10 minutes after climbing the tree. Seems affective. 20231110_163353.jpg

Well the guy behind me isn't having any luck... though I kinda widh he would cause there's a good chance they'd need to pass me...though I assume he's got a muzzleloader...

I’m set up for the afternoon. @S.McArthur found some good sign on the downwind side of the cut-over he’d been hunting. He texted me that something is dead upwind of him and it’s pretty rank.

I told him I was pretty sure I know what it is. The pig I shot ran that direction into the cut over.

I told him that I even provide effective cover scent for my guests sometimes.

Hour and 11 minutes left. One thing I have here that I didn't in the past is the last hour actually matters. I was usually a few miles down the road when legal time hit.

40mins left. I think the motto for tommorow's hunt is Be Aggressive, B-E Aggressive.

8 point chasing around 3 does about 200 yds out in the field. They aren't having it...
