No shots fired. That encounter with that buck was awesome but such a huge opportunity missed on my part. Glass some swamp/cattails tomorrow morning and come up with a game plan. Might be heading east to some new ground again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Guys who are staying at our hotel from central MN were at the spot we were going to glass.… we also ran into another group at the same spot yesterday from central MN. Coincidence or someone talking. I’m not sure haha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been watching some hunting shows. Man everyone is using "super excited" 33 times every youtube video. I can't unhear it!
Got 1 small brassica field I'm gonna terminate. Came up nice but it got smoked with this heat and no rain. Gonna replant with Rye. Just getting things ready now. Should be done in a couple hours.
Thought we just found the primo spot. Get in there 0 deer sign. Nice draw with a creek running through, mature trees, with beans up top. The search continues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m doing the same on Tuesday morning, they say it’s going to rain in the afternoon. Hope they are right this time.
“Let’s see what happens” “Great opportunity”/“gave me the opportunity” … Lots of phrases used over and over and over…
Yeah, sure hope they get this rain event right. Just got off the tractor. Done with it till spring. Good luck AF.
I am super excited to hear you trying the saddle. If you want, I can PM you my number if you want to call or text through the learning curve. Concidentally, I worked my pole this morning and put six arrows in the 10 ring at 32 yards.
Planted rye , oats, rape . Had a tiny rain then nothing and nothing due for yet another week with 90's. Saving grace night time heavy dew since planting. Still zero on cameras save fox yotes and coons. Food everywhere and wild apples are on everyone's land. Until camps fill and ag crops are cut things will be very slow around here. There is just no reason to move I have seen deer piled into yards down hill where people are illegal feeding. They aren't even touching the ton of apples on the ground and usually hit my plums hard, nothing. I'm hoping the lack of acorn brings them to the chestnuts when they drop in Oct.
Yeah. I don't feel any discomfort. But only sat for 20 min or so and worked my adjustments. Stretches my calves out which is always a plus.
Im up on a bear hunt. Sitting on my food plot next to creek. Hoping the bruins will stop here for a drink on the way to the apples.
