That look on @Justin's face due to the fact that he isn't positive that wasn't a shart. Good thing the editing guys can take that sound out.
You were correct. Did not hit liver that I could see but both lungs and top of the heart. Arrow hit front leg bone on the off side. He was 207# dressed. All cut up and waiting to get ground up.
My back ached, so made quick trip to chiropractor. Now I am all set up 150 yards south of morning spot. Looks like fresh tracks since the rain. SE wind. Back feeling much better. Drill them and kill them.
Rain coming so I'm in gypsy blind with bobbin head rutting buck out. Haven't been here in a bit but someone has. A brand new sign on line not sure what it says purple in color. Seems to say a lot...lol. I've never trespassed them so I'm sure someone new is hunting the pines and they've seen at least one of the buck. if I get a shot it will need to be heart or a shoulder drop. Which means dead on top of me with crossbow. That could be a gun season sign I'm glad I wrapped the front of blind in hunter orange fleece. It may get wild up in here.
Turkey Just missed a turkey. Had a bunch of next year's jakes come in. Called them in with my mouth! Got drawn back. They are moving out...shot the tail. I struggle leading them enough when they are not moving. Fun anyways.
And here's the rain Dear Lord I hate to ask this wind NE your standing facing NE. Is wind in face or at back? I'll explain after answers
Got distracted here at work and forgot to guess on this. Im betting he went to run at the shot. When he dug in he leaned sideways to run away from the sound if he was broadside. Your arrow went in low because he was leaned over trying to change direction, went up and got into some part of the spinal column. Dropping him in his tracks.
Sitting there 10 mins eating something barking to himself. OMG ...its a contagion up here. Hahahaha Either someone just grunted or I heard a buck. Just one grunt thinking real buck. It quieted squirrel.
Finally shot a doe......Mature all by herself - Waited to see if she had a buck with her......Nada so let fly and heard crash down just out of sight
