So cold and waste of time. Old reliable noisy walk in. Past two grunting buck on way down road . Then the biggest yote and a regular sized came up out of nieghboor swamp bedding. passed behind reliable 2 headed up to gully. One as big as A.J.
I’ll be driving home Buck chasing a doe while still a bit dark… never came close enough Now watching Solo doe 25 yards in front of me eating Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm on the sidelines today. Wife out of town. Have stuff that needs to get done. Looking at near record heat today and all this hunting and long driving over the weekend has put a hurting on my back. So maybe it's not a bad day to chill.
Solo doe turned out to be a button buck… he kept looking nervously to my right for 10 minutes… turned out to be 2 doe.. he got out of dodge when they came in… Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Good call. I just rearranged my vacay (pending approval). Instead of taking all of next week off im gonna take tomorrow and fri instead of next Tuesday/Wednesday. So ill have 4 days to get something done before gun season. After that its weekend warrior style.
Way more rain already than predicted for the day. Dryish under my umbrella. Never bow hunted in a thunderstorm!...a first for me. Ain't gonna hear them coming. Should be less rain for next several hours. No deer yet.
Okay man we need to get it done over the next four days. The mornings are looking real good from Fri to Sun.
VS, what kind of tree?, did you hunt out of it? Gonna dig in today and find out why he dropped in his tracks. From this shot, anyone care to guess?
Congrats on the double @Holt ! @bucksnbears , congrats on the cabin buck. Love the dark rack on him. @dmen best of luck finding the doe this morning. Living vicariously through all of you getting to hunt while I'm stuck at work. Plan to get out this weekend, pre-rut activity should be close to starting. Supposed to have temps of 32 for the low and high 40's for the high. Some of you seeing 70's and 80's for temps? Blech. Going to go fling some indoor arrows after work today, winter league is just around the corner. Want to shoot the whole season with handheld thumb this year, see how it compares to my trusty index scores.
