Make the most of it (hunting) while you have the opportunity then! Good luck on both accounts.

I just got this pic while I'm sitting here from the magical camera. He was here this morning. This buck is definitely on my hit list. He's gnarley and odd but he's been on my cameras since late July. I always love catching up with those types of targets. Screenshot_20231107-082226.jpg

I’ve never gone so long with deer action since I’ve been here, except when I hunted dark to dark….

I am going to repeat my statement from yesterday, kill a doe and reload. Bucks are getting stupid now, a dead doe isn't going to stop them from coming in. If she was in heat and dies close, it might just become the bait you need for a big boy.

I take it back - there were bucks shot on Nov 7th the past 2 years.

Last year Suncrest shot a nice buck.

in 2021 Holt and Cole shot bucks on the 7th.

Mike posted he shot one on the 7th, but he shot it on the 6th....shocking it took him a while to update us.:poke:

Good Luck this morning! I would love to be out this morning, but, it is a high of 80 today and strong, warming winds today and tomorrow. The office doesn't seem so bad. :throw::rant:

No. About 80 yards past where I backed out. Maybe 110 yards total

Looks like a killer spot Jim. Matter of time.
Swampy hunting with Ozzy? Oh my God! Lol. That would be a hoot.
TDK, he gets a pass this year. He still looks young.

    Great movement here this morning.

It was a busy evening so I’m just getting caught up.

By the time that buck showed up I forgot I was wearing them.

I ended up packing up quietly and made it all the way to the bottom of the tree without spooking the buck.

When I got on the ground I switched on my light and he took off.

Oh well, it’s just one buck, but he was a nice one. Not huge, but a really good one.

Congrats killers! I will likely not get out until Thursday or Friday. Was planning on maybe doing an all-day sit on Thursday but I'm not so sure with 15-25mph winds projected. I will be trying to sit all day on Friday/Saturday. My cameras have had very little activity and my main scrape/rut funnel on the north end hasn't had a picture on it since 10/29.
