Congrats to the killers today. That wraps up my first stretch. 4 days of work then will be 10 days of pounding some public unless my cams tell me for sure otherwise. Had enough sits on the place to know its just cold this year. Not many mature bucks in the area so the ones we do have arent gonna have much competition for the ladies. Makes for a slow year. Oh well on to greener pastures hopefully. Ill be hunting through you all for the next 4 days. I only ask one thing of you all. Kill…
This guy was by the stand I plan on hunting in the morning, if the wind is right. Wish me luck Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Looks like muscle blood. If it starts to peter out quick, either push her or back out. Make the call early and stick with it. End result will be the same regardless, just changes the effort needed for recovery.
Dang, Jim. That's a helluva symmetrical 10 Pt bruiser. I got a feeling the pic doesn't even do him justice. Good luck, Go get em!
Thanks Joe. I found this spot about three weeks ago. I counted four fresh scrapes in about a 30yd area. I immediately hung a camera but it takes a north or nw wind to hunt it and we haven't had much of that. But in the morning that's the prediction here. In addition it's right on the edge of a swamp, so if there's not at least some breeze the thermals will give you away there. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Takes a N or NW to hunt the stand, but what wind does it take to hunt the buck? Guessing the area had a S to SW wind today. So hard to reason why a buck was where in Nov., hope you get a shot at him.
I see texturing that could look like bubbles, but I'm looking at the color and thickness of the blood. I hope I am wrong, wouldn't be the first time. Maybe a bad flash/angle? I just don't see that bubbly blood throughout the blood drops.
Sumbitch. He broke off his g3 since yesterday morning. Gave him a pass as I think he's a 3 year old and I think it was there then.
