Super slow here, only a lone doe at about 80 right after legal light. She slipped on by super calm, she's not in heat or being pestered. Winds picked up, breezy out of S/SW, I'm going to climb down and still hunt around the property a bit with the wind into my face.
Life is to short Joe. It’s time to start a new chapter. You deserve it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
So being from NY, I have never experienced so much activity while on stand… absolutely crazy.. so far I could’ve killed that 8 and a 3 point and I lost count of how many doe… so this is what it’s like! Now I just need a mature buck to come by and I’ll start on the doe thinning Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I appreciate it brother! It's tough to let go of a dream I've had since I was 10. If I go all out, get in shape, put in the off-season work, and then it fails, I think I'll be okay with letting go. I keep telling myself that it was dumb luck, my dad getting his buck back in the 80s, but I've come so close last year and the year before. This year is on me and I deserve what I get. Next year, is up to me to truly make it happen.
It's a whole new world isn't it?!! I felt the same way the first few hours of hunting in Illinois back in 2013. I saw more bucks in the first hour than in a lifetime of hunting in CT. Good luck brother, I hope you nail a brute!!!
Oh yea i know the game. I was actually looking back at old pics and NOV 5th last year that tank i shot on the 12th was day cruising through the same bottoms im hunting now. 2:47 pm. These are the days you feel like the deer are extinct then you get something like this stroll through while your opening you 5th oatmeal cream pie
