Flipping wind is... flipping around all over. Literally 360* any given moment. Was supposed to be steady out of north would've hunted completely different stand otherwise

Question for you guys that hunt ag land. They are cutting corn on the properties on two sides of me. What kind of succes have y'all had seeing/killing deer when they do that? I usually don't see alot when that's going on. Like I said, it's not on the same property I'm on but both sides. Really I think I would just get down and go home if it wasn't Nov. 4th. What say you all

I love sitting by corn when it's getting picked. There will be deer camped out in the corn that get booted. There will be deer that are drawn to fresh picked corn. I think you will be successful tonight and your opinion will change. Good luck Jim.

I just came here to post that today has been very mentally draining on me… doesn’t feel like I’m “in it” or doesn’t feel like my heads in the game. Seeing some deer but it’s not helping.

Just had a lone doe at 70yds.

This is the buck I passed on this morning. He stopped a moment after this pic was taken. I was drawn back and had the pin in the " you ain't gonna live 10 more seconds zone" -pretty sure this is where the term " 10 ring" comes from. I sure hope he lives another 2 or 3 years 20231104_144224.jpg . Tough to not launch an arrow in that situation.

First sit here at home in PA. Mature doe under me and she emptied her bladder for me. Hopefully that’ll lure a buck this way.

I am officially live from the stand in central Kansas. This year is a little different because due to arthritis in my shoulder i am actually using a crossbow this year. I will be honest, not really sure how I feel about this. It is a balmy 67 degrees here, lets see what happens.

I’m back in a tree after taking two sits off.

I must have been more tired than I realized. I crashed last night at 10:30 and didn’t wake up until 7:30. Even after I showered I felt tired.

Oh well, I’m back up and does are off the menu for the time being.
