Lots of song birds and squirrels, bumped 2 Doe on the way in. Beautiful day. Really nice when the sun is behind the clouds. 55 deg. Had 2 2.5yr old 4-6pts go by on this cell cam at 0945 and 1030. Hopefully their daddy comes by. Knock em down this afternoon.
Soooooo, quiet here. Very little chasing and no bigger Bucks. Very weird for early November. There was definitely more movement in mid October.
Man I completely forgot that I posted I was going to drink a beer last night if I shot a deer. Well I didn't drink one. Same rules if I shoot one tonight, I will drink 2! Haha Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Just had my first adrenaline dump of the season. Sitting here bored out of my wits when all heck broke loose about 20yds away. Looked over and seen a flash of white and started reaching for my bow. Then stopped and left it on the hook. Huge hawk had swooped down on a squirrel. Could hear the squirrel barking, but when the hawk took flight its talons were empty. Still a squirrel in that spot. Not sure if it's the same one or a different one that sme over when the hawk left.
Trying to keep my head in the game for the last 2 hours, but damn..day 3 and zero deer seen. The memories and nostalgia in these woods are great, but sometimes holding onto something hurts more than letting go. <—view point I gave a client the other day. I think I need to tell myself it’s ok to let go of this place.
Just climbed up for the afternoon sit. I'm hoping for more action than there was this morning. It's about a mike walk nback here and it sounded like I was walking on uncooked Ramen noodles the whole way. So we'll see what happens. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Thank you for all the congratulations guys, very much appreciated! I’m out until probably Monday night as tomorrow is my oldest son’s 9th birthday. Good luck! And for the time being I’ll sit here and just enjoy this! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Have a lone deer milling around about 40 yards in the thick stuff. Believe it’s a button buck but not 100% been watching it was about 30 mins.
