September 1 starts Bear season in VT. I'll probably be out with the bow. They like my apple trees.

A few last minute buys before heading west in a couple weeks. I think I need to a start my gear pile to make sure there are no other lady minute needs.

    2 weeks of work left...

Man I'm sure looking forward to checking this thread to see who killed something. That and post about post chili rumble butt in the stand. Not sure if any of you remember that, but one of my finer moments in here.

Oh I'm going full steam opening week. Only 2 weeks away for me. Debating if I'm going to take half days the entire first week just to try and get on a buck fast or knock out a few does, who knows! Going to have fun no matter what I decide.

Just got back from putting a trail of bright eyes to a stand I hung a month ago. Refreshed my mock scrape with some coors light from a couple hours ago. Seal coating the driveway in the morning then off to work on the elevated blind.

Headed out in morning to clear shooting lanes on all my sets. I’m planning on a quick in and out in 2 weeks to check cards but other than that the property is going to rest uninterrupted until oct. 1st. Hoping the bucks that have been frequenting the cameras will stay comfortable and be there when I can actually get after ‘em. Super excited for this season to start. Never had so many potential options to go after.

I’m heading out tomorrow to put more cams out on the farm, I’m ready to roll in Pa! Have 4 mature bucks I’d like to kill that I know of. Heading to ohio Monday to hang cams over mock scrapes and known creek crossing for inventory. Had a couple big ones make it through last year so I’m hoping they’re still in the area. Been shooting like crazy, gonna shoot from the saddle tomorrow and practice out a new setup to hold my gear and bow in the tree. I’m still trying to refine my saddle setup . This is only my second year with it, made last year fun and way easier on my harder to reach spots.

Well it has to be better than it was the camera has been up for about a month without a single pic but I know it works because it picked my fat ass up walking in front of it. I will not be going back there until season starts. I have confidence in the spot for some reason.
