    I thought I posted pics.
    Sorry folks
Couldn’t have worked any better. Hot doe led him right by me at 22 yards. Couldn’t resist. Went 60 yards and tumbled another 60 to bottom
    I’m best now.

My buddy ended up missing this guy at 30 yards. Normal three point on the left side, right side the antler is almost horizontal and curving in front of his face. Ended up having two does come by without a shot and a buck chasing a doe in the dark as he was packing up.

Congrats @Happy on the buck kill.

I saw three this afternoon. The evening I sat on the ground pushed back into some cedars overlooking a bean field. Had a young buck come to 2 yards. I could have touched him. He got several steps past me before he saw me. He jumped back and then stared at me forever. Then trotted off. It was a cool encounter.

Wrote this earlier and it never sent…

Opted for a little more conservative hunt tonight. We’ve been keeping an eye on this field. They filter out of these creek bottoms. Its used every night but we havent seen any big ones in here at daylight yet. Maybe i can rile one up with a little calling and invite him to his last supper.

update: the invitation was snubbed. But a young mistress moseyed in and got stung. I hit her low I believe. Going to give her plenty of time. She ran 50 yds from where i hit her and bedded down in the corn. Guess ill go have a few beers and chill. This will be a good one to put my pup Roux on. Hope the yotes dont find her theyre thick.

It was 32 yds so i held 30 right in the ol vital vee. She didnt duck a bit and im shooting a little heavier arrow this year so the drop looked a little much. She only ran 50 to bed so she gotta be hurtin. Hopefully youre right.

So the private I will be hunting is 150 acres. Has a couple good ones in the area, neighboring property says he shot a big one several days ago, wasn't a fatal shot has been seen several times since on the hoof. Stated 170's, seen some pics of other deer and think they can judge score fairly well.

He has 25-30 permanent stands out now, pic below is old and each dot is a stand.

So those are stands on property you will be hunting or thats where he hunts? Pretty neat property. Looks like it has it all.

That is his families 150 acres, so answer is yes. Where he hunts and where I'll be hunting.

Old pic so some of the tree lines are no longer to open up ag land, structures have burned etc. Light pressured private land, I'll tale it any day of the week.
