I'm home about to make an omelet and coffee. Going to go see the grandsons then come home and hunt the afternoon.
Those turkey and th buck crossed center of a 1/2 mile long and wide field. Making a beline to pines next to a cut corn field. I couldn't call them my way so they probably went up to the cut corn fields. I find it interesting that they would cross such a big open field right down the middle in day light. Not the first time I've watch such movement this year but this is the first year I've seen it. Usually they will do corner cuts going up to pines or just skirt woods edge
Boy Oh boy it was cold this morning and light snow
Oh figured out phone not working on internet. GOOGLE. Light bulb came on and I realized switch search engine it may be Google. Yep it was . It was also Google on home devices

Clean miss on a doe. A group of them came in behind me and the lead hooker caught my wind. She was full alert. No bucks in sight and I knew she'd blow till next week any second. So I drew, put the pin mid body (here's where I was dumb) and she completely ducked the shot. Clean miss. At least no blowing happened, but alas, I suck again.

Indiana....it's just the neighbors terrifying pitch black GSD. I thought maybe I had found Indiana's first black panther.

BTW guys for tonight's hunt I need a whole lot of good thoughts going my way. I'd be happy to just kill a nice fat doe.
No need to post them but think of me this afternoon.
After Friday I'll have the crossbow and hitting swamp stand and camp eeewww that 2a.m. wake up call. Let's hope I get something in the next two days.

not today, the wind is starting to pick up and overtake the thermals. It wil be consistently blowing at the trail in about an hour. There are three other trees closer that would have put both of those bucks under 25. I will probably going give it another 30 minutes or so and get down so I don’t ruin it.

Bluejays are hammering in the direction both of the bucks went earlier. Wind is good for now that way.

I’ve got about 30 minutes left, then a small chance I can hunt PA in the morning, then I won’t be back at it until the 11th. Would be nice to drop one here in the next 30 minutes, I’ve never gotten a mid day deer
