Shocker glad you are okay. Crazy story.

I’m in the stand. A little later then I wanted to be but hoping for a good day. Good luck to everyone today.

Just spotted turkey flock and a buck crossing field.
Calling to turkeys and grunt/rattling buck. Now wait.

Up to about 10 deer spotted this morning, had two run by at 100 yards right at first light pretty sure it was some chasing, then had 4-5 run through then had a lone deer following them which I’m pretty sure was a buck. After that I had a fawn behind me and a 4 pt worked his way through, and make it 11 deer, just had another spike walk by at 20, this is an amazing sit! Now I just need a big boy to come by to top it off

Did they add a zero to the 5 lbs of summer sausage you ordered?
I had a place "misread" my cutting orders one time, then wanted to charge me for all the extra sausage they made that I didn't ask for. That was quite the "discussion".

Just saw a pack of huge coyotes about 40 yards away. One was the color of a deer, and a few were bigger than a German shepherd. No wonder there wasn’t much sign on my way in. Those things could easily take down a mature deer. They came up over the top of the big rocks on the ridge. Well that sucks….

Yea. I tell you what though. There are some slob bucks back in there. A friend of mine who is kind of a mentor has killed a wall full of absolutely gigantic deer from this place. Its tough hunting

image.jpg Imagine if you will, trying to sneak in on a dead calm cold morning with crunchy snow…. I did manage to get all the way to my stand and then had what looked like a fawn come to about 50, blew one time then walked away. Good luck everyone
As I was writing this I had 8 does and fawns come from 2 different ways, look like they were being chased but there wasn’t a buck in tow, yet

Dont worry once they make their rounds and move on you’ll be back in the game. Those big ones can be bold too. I had a stare off with one at about 40 yds away and i swear he was sizing me up. I had to throw sticks at him and he didnt even run off real quick he trotted away a little bit and turned back around and started walking back at me.

Hate that when they sneak in like that! At least mature one moving. He may come back through. Might make a little noise. Grunt rattle. Its time
