I am getting ready to jump in the truck. Hopefully won’t be dealing with small game hunters today. My area is archery only for deer, but open for small game. 2 guys come through yesterday afternoon with what sounded like .22 uzis, the way they were letting it fly. They got within 75 yards on the other side of an embankment and I had to yell to let them know I was up here in a tree. They informed me they were watching for me???? Thanks! This was at 5:10, right before the sun was really going down, so that hunt was ruined! Public land!

Shocker glad you made it out ok that sounds nuts. Having coffee and heading out soon. Can’t all day have to pack for Missouri when I get home. Good luck this morning.

Man that sounds crazy. Very happy you made out ok. Look at the bright side. You did gain some Intel and also learned you probably don't want to repeat that again. I'm glad you're safe!

Good luck out there today guys! I’ve been in the tree for about 20 minutes, so calm and crunchy out here today it took me 20 minutes to get 80 yards off the main trail. 28 degrees, should be able to hear anything moving within 100 yards no problem this morning, that being said I’m sure one could still sneak in on me! Got about 20 minutes until shooting light, good luck all!!!

All setup, right on schedule, 1/2 hour before legal shooting light. Dead calm cold, hard freeze, nice and crunchy. Good luck everyone!

I’m set up for the morning. Let’s see what comes by. I’m kind of hoping the hogs make another appearance.

Of course, a good buck or a doe would be welcome also.

My son gave me his stomach. Tree stand therapy seemed like the best solution. SSE winds, I am in spot C. Saving spot A for my sons this weekend with youth rifle, didn’t get out of the house fast enough for the long walk to spot B. So I am in a little strip of woods 100 yards of a two lane higheay. Does are in here year round, bucks should cruising. I am set up with several white oaks around me. A little droping but not as mich as I hoped for. Good luck!
