I bought one and hated it. I now use the black plastic fake ones, they work pretty well but don't sound as good as real antlers IMO
I have used one with success at rattling in young bucks. Never had one that I would call mature come in.
Go have some lunch. If you push it you’ll be chasing it all over. Let it die, there’s no rush. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kill my 150” buck with it. Had a bunch of nice bucks in Iowa respond to it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Still waiting. My wife is on her way with Elly May and Brett Smith should be here about 12:40. We’ll take up the track a little over four hours after the shot.
2 dudes in the parking lot. Smoking dope Before they're going afternoon hunting... ask me what time I went in this morning and I told him I was on the stand about 45 minutes before Sun up... he said he got on stand by 410AM. I told him that is real interesting that you got on stand 3 hours before Sun up. And that I was the first truck in the parking lot and I got there about five am and you weren't there...lol. There are some real dumb people amongst us in the woods
The last 20 minutes or so the weather has been crazy almost white out conditions and the wind had me guessing if I should stay in the tree. Now no wind and the sun is out.
From a recent experience… that gut job won’t be fun. I bumped mine out of a bed after about an hour I would say, then she walked 60 yards and fell over dead. If your confident you hit lung and liver too I would still give it about 2 hours
I'd give it at least 4 hrs, my SOP for liver (less with a firearm), if you're really confident you got a lung or liver. If you're taking Ellie straight there i would go with a leash to ensure slow pace. Good luck.
Getting everything ready to head out shortly. Once again feels like 25 degrees with the wind. Have had some daytime movement on the south end of the property but looks to be just fawns. Probably go get in the swamp again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Awesome. Congrats! Be curious to see what all vitals you hit. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
