It’s 31 degrees now, the high will only be 47, it’s only the beginning of the minor movement period, I have a quiver full of arrows and multiple tags in my pocket.

I got down to check the arrow. The shot was hard quartering to. I know it went through the vitals but this is what it looks like.

I’m packing up and heading back to camp. I’ll wait a while and have Beth bring Elly May.

That absolutely passed through the guts, bro… hopefully through the liver and lung first

I'm pretty sure there is someone beating a rattle bag to death on the property line. Think I'm packing up and head to a different property. I had high hopes for this piece and have invested quite a bit of time and resources with all the surrounding and as I'm typing a 4pt made his way from the power line.

Even I can see that is covered in gut, but I know I got a lung and probably liver before it went through gut.

Gotta decide how long to wait. I know it’s not ONLY gut no matter what the arrow shows.

Inputs on how long to wait before I track?

In situations like this when I know it hit vitals before exiting through the guts, I usually wait several hours and then track very slowly and it has seemed to work.

If you are confident of at least one lung and liver, 6 hours from shot time.

Good luck on the track LC.

Frosty out this morning and I've had quite a bit of activity around me. Now if one of them will just wander in a bit closer.....

Does were being pushed this morning. Had a chip shot and a 40 yard shot but waiting on something bigger. Definitely need the warmer boots tomorrow AM. Wind was all over the place and I still kept from being winded.

Speaking of rattle bags, thoughts on their effectiveness? I have one but I don't feel it is even close to using the real deal. Can't get enough sound out of them.

Seeings that you're color blind, I recommend licking that arrow Johnny. If it taste bloody, only vitals, if it taste like &+%$ you know you got some guts.
