Get to parking lot. No cars. Walk in 1.5 miles. Deer everywhere. Start to set up. Two guys come in from the private side. I shine my light at them...no response. 75 yds...light right st them. They don't care. Walk right through and set up 100 yds upwind of me. I moved but I have very little faith.

Well that was interesting. I had to sound like a bull in a china shop getting in here. Literally had to hammer fist my way through some thick stuff. Could not find for the life of me the access i used to get in here when i found this spot. Of course that was last march when i was shed hunting lol. Oh well im set up on the tip of one of these shallow strip pits. They bed on the fingers in between the water strips. I thought id have more shot opportunities but i have a few. Here we go. Good luck erybody!

Yesterday's hunt finally had me jazzed for hunting this morning and a 1/2-1" on ground. Unfortunately I woke to pain everywhere. Got up and dressed at alarm anyways went out and tried drawing bow because my back and shoulder muscles were screaming. Tried was the key word. String wouldn't budge. I know it's the 2 shots a couple of years ago but also the lyme this spring. Hurts to deep breath.
Time to ask Dr. fo a crossbow waver to apply at DEC to stay in bow.
I never know when this will hit but it's happening more often.
    Good luck guys

I hope you get it sorted out. Surely your doc would grant you a crossbow permit.

Good Luck if you are out this morning! Bucks seem to be moving around here and I am stuck in the office, taking next Thursday -Sunday to hunt and youth weekend this weekend. Just got a text from a buddy, thinks he missed a 6-point this morning.

    It was a doe.

Adrenaline is wearing off and I’m shaking so bad. I was already cold.

Looks like a great area to catch a buck cruising AFlinger.
    Good luck Chief.

Congrats to all the doe and buck kills recently. I wasn't able to get on here much and congratulate each one individually. Sounds like the deer are really moving. Last day in the office today and should be out Thursday & Friday. I might have to work 1/2 a day in the morning before I make the two hour drive. It's muzzleloader season right now but we can bow hunt during muzzleloader and rifle so I'll be bow hunting during the muzzleloader season.
