Are you fellow Hoosiers getting the same 20mph wind gusts as me?

Very windy and snow flurries. I love it but I'm freezing...need some nice gloves.

Tomorrow morning is going to be cold as heck. Used to really love that...yeah not so much anymore. It's like you are in a constant fight to stay alive. Haha

    Speaking of turkey..
I'm not out tonight due to butchering one of the hens and it took WAY LONGER than expected. OMG she was big ,had to dunk her in the wheel barrow, which took 2x's the hot water. She dressed out absolutely beautiful. Man just full of fat when gutting and surrounded in fat. Completely cleaned and dried 27#. She should be tasty. None of these birds, for how big and age, have been tough or dry. They have had fantastic flavor.
Anywhooo...too tired to go out and it's snowing. The morning should be great!

Got the first daylight photo of my number one buck this morning around 10, he came back by around 3, quick wrapped a few things up at the shop and tore home for my gear, and headed out, lo and behold, I jump him going in, totally sickening, It appears like he's with a doe, so hopefully he doesn't go across the country now. Just a beautiful 10 that I've been watching most of the summer.

Heard something raking a tree/making a scrape in the thick stuff. Grunted him into 25 but he stayed in the buckthorn. Looked like one of my decent 8s. Think he’s chasing now. Lotta of breaking limbs and crashing around.

Ended up seeing one small doe right before last light, regroup and hit the woods in the morning supposed to be chilly.

Screenshot_20231031_184012.jpg Well near as I can tell they were still hanging out in the bean field when I left. If anyone has any tips for me I'd be happy to give them a try in the morning.
