Congrats to everyone who killed yesterday! Happy Birthday Adam, great name BTW. I had toyed with calling in sick today and hunting most of the day. Unfortunately, my oldest came home from wrestling practice after school and started vomiting. So, I am home sick for real with him, but I am stuck in the house. It does give me an excuse to call in later this week under the pretense that I got it...

@LittleChief on his first hog hunt

So... I had the fawn literally eyes 2yrds away.
I'm watching mom who's obsessed with cleaning g herself at 40. Just as she's decided to come eat beech nuts I hear crack! ,groan snap! And down comes a hung up dead ash. They about jumped out of their skins and bolted.
If I ever say sign me up again..IGNOR ME PLEASE!!!!
What a fun hunt, though I have no idea where that buck went. One of does must be ready and he chased her off some where. Going to try and fix cam

Big 10 just came by. I’m shaking like a leaf. No shot. I’m about 60 yards into the woods off of the edge of a field and they’re skirting the field about 15 yards in down wind.

I am out. I saw a fork horn at about 200 yards into the beam field and watched him get closer and closer until he got to 65. Let him wander back out to 100 and I tried rattling just to see what he would do. He bolted!!! Ha ha ha! It was fun to watch! Happy Birthday Adam, and good luck anybody still out. It will be tomorrow morning for me!

I wanted to sit longer but I had to get down. I have to run home and bring the four wheeler/trailer and extra water back. Didn’t have time to do that yesterday.

Final tally for this sit: A herd of pigs, a flock of turkeys and two does that walked in and busted me climbing down.

Dayyyuuummm. Just got caught up. Congratulations all you cervid serial slayers from last night! I hunted the evening and it was a bust. Hunted a new plot we planted in the bottoms for the first time. The stand we hung was sticking out like a sore thumb with all the leaves that dropped ao after messing with rehanging it for a bit i ran back and grabbed my saddle and platform and used that. But it was still a crappy setup for the wind and how the bedding is laid out. Had a huge doe come in and not bust me but knew something wasnt right. And that was it. Our place is literally dead right now. Couple good bucks in area but every pic we are getting of them is still at night. Ill be able to hit some public starting tomorrow. Wont be back to the dead private until the cameras tell me to come back. Weird year there normally its popping right now. Here is that plot which came in spotty but is still getting traffic just all mostly night time. And a new 8pt that has been running around on the night shift

I’m out. Winds started swirling. This evening, I’m setting up over the scrape I saw the two bucks work today. I didn’t think anything of it bc it’s not very big and I assumed it was little bucks at night. Same area just getting upwind of everything since they’re not traveling as deep as that big one sided buck was

Very windy and feels like 20 degrees. Snowed about 2 inches last night. Sure hope it warms up a bit for this afternoon!
