I never knew he was there. I did use the grunt call this morning but the only thing that responded was a forkie Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
It was a hectic morning but camp is set up in Mark Twain National Forest. @Brett Smith - it’s all ready for you. Im about to change and go climb a tree.
It’s awesome to be reading all the deer sightings compared to a week or so ago. Gets me pumped. It will be in the high 20’s tomorrow morning here in Oklahoma. I’ll be sitting in the recliner on my laptop working. It looks like I finally will be able to get out this year. I’m almost certain going on Friday but might be able to squeeze in Thursday depending on work.
Been strapped in for an hour. Had to hang on the side of a tree for 30 minutes because some does decided to adjust at 2:30 while I was hanging the mobile setup. Good luck guys! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Jim kill that sob. @pastorjim08 @wl704 Bill, it doesn't have to always be me thou. But that's my luck , or I cough as buck comes in.
Just getting ready to head in and got a pic. Right in front of the stand I'm heading for. Gonna wait a bit and sneak in.
Just got set up. Temperature feels great wind is a little rough but I’ll take it. Set up at my home spot. Here we go!
Work got in the way of me getting out this afternoon. Good luck everyone! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good bit of rain coming tomorrow after. It is bringing a cold front with it so I will not complain. I plan to make some moves of some cameras and get out some hot doe scent in the scrapes. I plan to hunt these areas starting Thursday into next week so I will have some time to put in trying to get my shot at a good one.
I’m finally in a tree in the forest. I was going to do my first two sits by a pond where @cantexian killed his deer last year and where I killed two. I parked, loaded up and was walking in when I rounded a curve and saw a Chevy parked in one of the best crossings in the area. I’m not going to say anything bad about Chevy drivers, but……. Oh well. I retreated, went back to camp, geared up, jumped on the bike and rode to one of my spots a mile away. No scouting. No looking. Just straight to a tree that is doable for a north wind. If I get a shot at a doe here I’ll probably take it. We will see. Something has to walk through first.
Been up for a few minutes. Beautiful 38 degrees. Second time in the stand I got my doe in early season. Haven't hunted it since. Buck hunting. Let's go PM shift!
