Rained all night and still raining, 43 degrees right now. The weather guesser says it'll continue all day. Starting tomorrow night the temps are supposed to drop below freezing for several nights so that should kick up activity a bit and the leaves are falling heavy right now so visibility is going to get a lot better for me and the deer. I know the food plots needed the moisture but I'm thoroughly sick of rain, It's messing up my plans of killing that old nanny doe that's busted me so many times. That old battleaxe is a personal vendetta this year. Good luck to everyone in the woods today.
This guy showed up on my trail cam yesterday right in front of my stand. In Iowa. Thing is a tank, too bad they are protected in Iowa. Called the DNR, they had no reports of an elk anywhere near here. Sent from my SM-S918U using Tapatalk
Nice! There is a decent elk herd about 75 miles from me and Arkansas does have an elk season but I've never been lucky enough to draw a lottery tag for one yet. A bull elk is high on the bucket list for me and seeing one on a trail cam locally would be seriously cool.
I'm out for the day. Just the 2 spikes. Had 1 bed under me for a few hours. Had to kick him out of his bed to get down. Good luck you bunch of dirty dogs! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
People that write aggressive crap and then hide don't like to be found. I knew if I circled the adjacent rundown neighborhood long enough I'd find him and he would bite when he saw my truck. I started seeing archery targets and stuff. So I made it a point to be seen. Now I know where you live.....didn't take long. As soon as I crept off here comes a white truck flying after me. I drove to the stop sign then purposefully drove fast away from it to see his reaction. He didn't even stop at the stop sign. At that point I knew something was gonna go down. He guns it past me and stops in the middle of the road, thereby preventing me from driving around. Gets out the truck in socks so I now know he ran out of his house to encounter me. All info for me to see how I'm gonna deal with him. Well here he comes down the road. No weapon in hand. So as soon as he starts up aggressive I ramp it up so he becomes flustered. Then he starts getting worked up and complains I'm being too aggressive. I knew I had em at that point. Goes on to say he likes that land and doesn't like people around it bc of past trespassing and just because he likes it for gun season. Ten minutes later he switched from Ahole Supreme to shaking my hand and me agreeing to stay out there during gun season and that he would tell everyone I was cool and to leave me alone. Said what I was doing with the kayak was perfectly legal. No crap, that's why I was doing it.
Plain and simple, he's a bully who thought you would back down. When you didn't, as you shouldn't have, he did. Weasel! Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
