Just moved bc deer kept getting downwind of me. I've left a cam out here for a month. Will see if I can find that buck on it. Was a new buck to me. 18 to 20 inch wide 8 pt with mass.

Saw 3 small bucks between 9 and 915. Then 3 does. Mature doe was edgy and looking behind her. They milled around for 10 min. Then out of nowhere that big boy came in...45 yds. Briefly chased the mature doe and then caught my wind. No response to grunts.

Cell cams showing more small bucks chasing on the south end.

I’ve had a chill to my bones for about 15 minutes now. One of those where it takes forever to get warm again. Doing some squats in the stand get the blood moving.

Still out but had to change spots. Idiots across the creek have been shooting targets since 8:30. Had to move. I didn’t see squat after first light

I was I think one of the deer I bumped on way in was a buck. Seemed to gave a very manly snort. Sounded like a big deer stumping in the leaves. I’m at a spot now I can see entire hillside going into bedding. Something moving and I should at least see it. Gunfire seems to have stopped.
