VT did the same thing on coyote contests, but our season is still year round and no limit.

This should be a nice drainage full of water. My rut stand is right at the end of it. Entry/exit into it should be great again this year.

The few oaks we have are loaded.

Weed whip died. Hooyman works just as good.

Moved one of my Tactacams to the corner of our beans.

Big trail going to the beans. It’s next to my mineral site but no bucks hitting it… yet

Love getting into the woods. Season will be here before we know it.

They actually have to be in the fencing, been through this many times over the years and to that...
When the kids were in 4H they lost 2 goats..literally ripped out of the barn stalls and some chiclens. We were reimbursed by the county for those losses. Now things may have changed over the years.

Wish it was like that here, we have too many bleeding heart hunters in NYS

I’ll post pics later but nothing to really write home about on the cams. A few nice ones and a LOT of up and coming 2 1/2yr olds.

That’s better than what I have since I don’t have any cameras out.

I'm in the same boat. Said I was going to run a few cameras this year and I failed on that so far. Kind of enjoy the hunt and just seeing what ever I stumble into these days.

I have a couple cameras out, but I haven't done a dang thing to prep for this year. It's gonna bite me in the ass in the end.

    Negative.
A good spot can yield great bucks without Intel.
    Sometimes I hate game cams.

I've never seen a shooter buck on stand that I got on cam. Biggest reason was I never got mature bucks on cam until seek/chase phase.

I like getting pics of shooter bucks after I see them from the stand

Fair point. Sometimes Intel is Intel and better than a stick in the eye.

Cams are fun to watch the deer and possibly see what you have around. I've learned though that if there is a good concentration of Doe then in the second half of October JUST HUNT!

I had 10 cameras…now down to five. My wife calls it “deer porn” as I’m always on the phone. I’m using the cameras in different areas to eliminate those areas without heavy deer traffic & I have them active during hunting hours only.
It’s a good tool that average hunters need in my opinion

Looks like (finally) an all day rain event today. Don't think we've had one all spring/summer.
Gonna sit on my deck, read, snack and perhaps a good snooze.

I don’t know what SPYPOINT puts in their plastic, but the squirrels (or mice) absolutely love it. I’ve never experienced this with a camera. Something chewed the cord in half after two days, so I bought another one, then I go out to replace batteries a year later, to find the cord and the whole cell link casing is daam near gone. The camera the cell link was hooked to, untouched.
