Been setup a little over an hour or so. Hot as crap out. Needs to be something good if I'm going to let one fly

image.jpg I’m up, sw corner of my property in a different location. Damp and drizzly and quiet in the woods. Not expecting much but it’s good to be out, good luck everyone!

All of our corn is officially off.

My poor Irish setters. Think I’ll wear the rubber boots on Saturday.

Forgot my stocking cap at least its 50 not 40. Near dark might get chilly. Smells/looks like a killing type of day… good luck PM shift.

Down and home. Had a bruiser come in. Grunted him into 20 yards. Arrow hit a branch. Complete miss. O well. I had about 12 deer come by. Mostly does.

That's rough! Keep at it. Was it one of the ones you had on camera?

It was this guy. He didn't even go 10 yards when I shot. He stayed around and was not spooked. I almost grunted him back in again but could not get a shot off. Screenshot_20231025_130531_Gallery.jpeg

Yah well caught myself on cam when checking card...hhhmmm I'm looking a bit beastly. :sad:I don't think I've had 6 hrs of sleep in the last 3 days. I need to figure out I'm closing in on 66. My body has, as it screams at me all night but the mind is still in my 40's...lol
The window got a thumbs up as well as the 4 4x6 post I leveled and buried 3ft. Only comment, why didn't you clean it before installing. Seriously? I figured it was so heavy I'd probably break it , why waste the washing time as well..lol. all windows get washed tomorrow any ways. Though I may hunt in morning I'm not as sore tonight, no leaf blowing done today. That back pack is also heavy.

Up and getting ready to head out, this feels like sleeping in hunting locally instead of driving the hour down to MD! 55 out now, getting up to 78, not the ideal conditions but it’s 10/27 anything can happen, going to hike up to the top of the ridge at my gun club and hunt over a scrape on a logging road that has been fairly active. Good luck out there today guys!
