    what a start...
    way too many layers on
walk to stand ger settled and realize its not huntable based on some bramches in the way. i checked straps but did check shooting lanes and I have no way to fix that with me now.
I get down and start walking to my 2nd choice stand but have to stop half way there and shed layers, im super hot!
walking down road to my stand and 2 deer blow at me and run west at least it was on the road and not 20 yards from my stand.
    now the rain is starting

we'll see how this morning goes from here

Out today. Too much winter prep to be done. Snow due on Holloween and I will be out worry free. Got the Gator throughly scrubbed and leaf blowing done again. Yes OCD, did rest of trails ,which are all filled back in but not 4" deep so winds can help keep them clean now. Couple of areas were bare trees so that helps.. cleaned a couple of smothered plots. Found single beds, and several new rubs. One cluster where he managed to get a few trees at once and rib high. Have to assume a wide rack. No the trail cleaning doesn't push them off. New sign from last time and chocolate rack was running area I did a couple of days ago. They are moving on a schedual as in past years. Which are loops around the hill and showing in certain areas every couple of days. Over the years the longest was a every 4 days. Also they are use to noises and smells around the area from the many people here, the farm equipment and fire wood cutting.
I can now be quiet and see where I am no lights needed. Helps a lot when I leave all blind windows open during late Oct through gun. The line "hunters" have zero clue as to where I am. Most realize I'm out way before they are. Some have learned the hard way with pitch black call outs. Which puts a smile on my face for days.....lol
    Good luck guys

Good luck today!! Here is my kill shot from yesterday, I’m pretty terrible at filming but got her in frame. It’s amazing how much she moved.

I haven’t seen a thing. Not only that, but a little pop up shower went over and got me wet. It’s pretty windy and now I’m getting cold.

At 920 I watched a couple of does feeding in the corn 150 yards away.

About 950 I threw out 2 can call doe bleats. A nice little 2.5 yo 8 came in nicely- 28 yards. I sure hope he makes it a year or 2 longer.

    I'm sitting until 11. Screenshot_20231026_095542_Messages.jpg

I can't take Monday/Tuesday off... Trying to decide if I want to take 2-3 days off before rifle season opens next Saturday, or just wait and take time off during rifle season. Decisions decisions.
