    Congratulations again Adam. Regarding the arrow, I know why. A similar situation happened to me in December 2021. Mine was a pure gut shot. At least that’s what I saw. I found the arrow (pic below) and was confused until I found her and saw that the arrow had gone through the hindquarter also.

    It cleans the gut off the arrow and smears it with good blood. The reverse can happen if you make a good lung shot that hits gut on the way out.

    Oh, if you’re processing it yourself be sure to trim off the gut contaminated meat where it went through the hindquarter.

    Oh boy, here comes a taller racked 8 I've seen a few times. Even though he's only a 2 year old if he gets in range, he's going down!
