Anything Adam , it's been 4 hrs. + If you got 1 lung/ liver she is dead and should be able to track. I could be there in about 4 hrs. Just saying. Need help ill come
Good luck Adam! You’ll find her. Wont be long my new little girl will be able to help out. This is on her first day. She completed 5 tracks. Longest was 120 yds. Not bad considering there was kids in the creek distracting her trying to call her. First correction was only because she was headed into neighbors yard.
New bucks keep showing up in my areas I'm hunting. Only a matter of time before the stars align. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
That’s great I would love to train a dog to recover deer. It would be a nice side hustle too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello all! I know it's been awhile since I've been on, but here's my view for the evening. Had lots of action this morning. Hoping for a successful evening as I only have 3 more days to hunt.
So it's around 75 degrees with a slight south wind. Should be great for this spot as the bedding area is to the south and the fields are north of me.
Heck yea. She will primarily bird hunt but i will utilize her nose for deer as well. Ive had to call a dog 2x’s and its a helpless feeling having to depend on the trackers availability. Im not really doing it for the side hustle although that would be nice extra cash. Im doing it for friends and family in need of recovering their trophy. Hell i will drive to help any one on this forum for free if my time permits.
In a tree near one of my cams. Had bucks show up on this cam this morning. 71 degrees. 11 miles per hr from sw We shall see
Tonight had prime weather to hunt but... You guys have seen me complain more than a few times about being covered in stickers/"stick em's" walking to my best rut stand. I finally got sick of it and weed-whipped the 200-yard drainage ditch this afternoon to help the issue. I washed the one set of pants I've been wearing last night and can still feel the tiny stickers/thorns poking me through the pants and my base layer and feels like they are ruining the pants. Used an electric whip to help with the intrusiveness/noise and went through 2 big DeWalt batteries but I got it done. Should have been done weeks ago but what do you do. Also took time to move a camera on 2 scrapes at the end of a rub line. Might get out tomorrow night before the front moves in Friday. Good luck PM shift.
We got the buck and doe from Arkansas processed yesterday. I took a couple sits off but now I’m back up in a tree on my place. I don’t want to shoot a doe this evening. I’m hoping to see this guy tomorrow morning or maybe even this evening. This pic was 15 minutes before first light on Monday which is the day I drove home.
Sorry for the delay everyone! Here she is, she ended up going about 250-300 yards, she only made it about another 50-75 yards after I saw her get up, but no blood to follow, found the bed eventually and then started taking all the trails out the ridge, no luck there eventually just went straight down the hill and found another major trail, followed that a couple yards till I found a spot that looked good to get into this thick stuff. Walked 20 yards and saw he belly. She was stiff as a board. Arrow went in the shoulder (opposite one I was aiming for as she did a 180 to jump the string, and came out the ham. Not a fun track job whatsoever lol!!! But we got her then it was a mile cart ride back to the car. I am exhausted now!!! I still have no idea how the arrow and the blood looked so good after I know I caught guts? Never found any material in the blood or smell or anything. These animals are tough, I kept thinking with all the blood she’s gotta be just ahead. Was very close to giving up after not getting on any blood for well over an hour but I am beyond excited now. I’ll get the video uploaded on YouTube tomorrow and send a link so you guys can see this acrobatic doe lol
