Didn't see anything while I was in a tree. However walking out was different story.

I ran into a buck about 45 -50 yards away after I was able to get to the bean field. It was dark enough I couldn't tell what he was until I pulled up the binos.

He walked the other way then trotted away. Hope I didn't spoke him to bad.

He was in the middle of the bean field and walking my way. Man that was stupid on my part

Took a drive down to the bottoms they just cut corn. There was maybe 15 deer (i could see). Almost went down there tonight too dang it. The wind was a little better for where i went tonight though so no regrets. Only saw the basket rack 8. He fed for about 40 min in that plot. I started sneaking down the tree. He was only 20 yds away. He finally turned away and moseyed on. Got out clean.

Uncle sent me this one. Apparently this guy is living on our farm. Looks like he may be a 13-14pt plus. Long main beams. Looks like a toboggan

I was about to go to bed and I remembered this post, Bill. It did make me laugh at the time. I read it to my brother and he laughed also.

No, my brother isn't colorblind. He is/was an excellent blood trailer and he has been my insurance policy on many a hunt over the years but those days are almost over. He's 68 now but a really bad auto accident 12 years ago took about 10 years off his life, as he is fond of saying, and he's not wrong. I don't think he could trail much more than 100 yards on level ground, let alone hilly terrain.

I don't think it's going to be much longer until he won't be there for me to rely on so any chance I have for him to "help" me is more than welcome.

Had a nice 8 trying to cross the road on the way in. Not a shooter but was great to see on the way in. Nice and quiet with a little wind.

Beautiful morning to be in a stand. Heading to work though. Gotta pay the bills. Hot weather approaching Friday and Saturday. Low to mid 80s I think I will find something else to do besides hunt. Can't stand the heat. I feel like I stink up a whole area. On top of mosquitos being horrible this year too. So ready for this cold weather to stay

I know you enjoyed this last trip and it's great to spend time with those you're closest with, rehash experiences and make new memories.

Good luck out there this morning! I’ll be out this evening, going to start by pulling a camera then scout my way around and find a spot to set up for the night

    It's 60 degrees...

Pretty sure I just had a buck come by at 20 in dark. Headed to a bed I found weeks ago.
