Little man and I were busted walking in. Didn’t see nothing but he only lasted until 8:30 and his feet were cold. Proud of him for getting up and still wanting to go. For 6 I can’t ask for anything more.

Sat until 930 nothing came through after the 2 does, I’m not sure if I will be back out before the weekend but I am off from the 30th to the 13th. Good luck to anyone who’s still out.

You all ever noticed how as our hunting vacations near, that there is always something that comes up at work with an unnecessary time crunch?

Yep. Never fails and it's not just work either. I can't remember a time when my hunting time wasn't interrupted by some "emergency "

That's awesome. I was given a brand new 110 when I was 10 or so. I used that thing for all my hunting and gutted several deer. I would sharpen that thing after ever use. And use brass polish on it. Then one day couldn't find it. Found out my brother stole it when he moved. Then someone broke into his van and stole it again. I was just thinking of that knife this week. Still pisses me off he stole that knife.

Up here in Maine the deer love pumpkins. During bow and beginning of rifle they are all over the Halloween pumpkins people put out. I can imagine that would be a great food source to put down for em. Good luck if you haven’t already harvested

So just got phone internet back. Went out last night and doe with twins came trotting in from field I saw that big buck in. She was way nervous in the 18 mph winds and gusts. Stood broad side at 15 a couple of mins. Just scanning the woods. I'm not meat desperate yet she'll continue to get a pass. This morning it was COLD and very light breeze . Zero movement again off a plot trail. Here are pics from other morning. Didn't bother dragging phone out after. No idea why it wouldn't connect then suddenly did.

SUPPOSEDLY weather will be low 70/60 to low 60/50the next 7 days. Then drop to low 40/30 going into the crossbow season before gun. No rain,SUPPOSEDLY for next 4 days. Winds calming down.

Well I’m a glutton for punishment, I’m going out leaving now. Want to hit tonight b4 this temp jumps up! Had 7 bucks hit the scrape yesterday evening, I’d shoot 3 of the 7. I have the right wind just need the right one to show!

yup, glad I'm working .. I'll do the oil change/tire rotation tomorrow AM on the SUV and I'll be set ... each 'hunt day' is 80-85+ miles round trip, really sucks after the time change .. 76 tomorrow/Tues.

Big temp change from this morning. Guessing their movement will be late as it’s warm here. Snuck into one of my favorite spots that usually has a few big scrapes along the woods. They’re not here but the tracks are. Good luck out there.

    First time hunting this stand

SSW winds. Probably need to come down tree line from the south. Areas of bedding to my N and S. So many active scrapes. Looking for a doe or a nice buck. The sun in my face makes it tough. Going to minimize my movements.

I took the climber today , I've had some MRI YESTERDAY neighbor told me he has been seeing deer about 100 - 125 yards north of me while I've been hunting back behind is house.

So I took my climber and set up about 80 yards further north.

We shall see, good luck everyone.
Tomorrow will be warm high 60-low 70.

56 now - winds 3 from south west
