I took a nap to get ready for the afternoon sit. When I got up my brother said it’s 85 degrees out there and he didn’t want to go this afternoon.

I have to admit I’m a bit relieved. I’m a little tired and I don’t really want to shoot another deer this trip. I’d have gone so that he could go.

We’re going to go for one last sit tomorrow afternoon, but the only way I’ll shoot is if a giant walks in front of me.

I've been up for the last hour. All I've seen has been a cat today... got some corn out hoping that will help entyce the deer to come in.

@Shocker99 - we need good dads growing up. Sounds like you were blessed with a good one.

My dad would have turned 81 yesterday. He passed away at 58. I am grateful for how much time he put into us kids. Thankful and tear filled at the same time.

Sounds like cantex and Mike are spending quality time with their kids.

The world would be a better place if we had more dads spending time with their kids.

3 fresh scrapes within 50 yards!
200 yards south of where I saw the bucks this morning. There were headed north. Slight north breeze. Best I can do.

Sun is nearly over the ridge, shadows are getting long, temps dropping and wind has settled down. Cue the woodland critters...

image.jpg I’m up again in the same spot, I will admit that I would like a change of scenery but the deer keep coming by me so here I am. Also a bunch more scrapes on the way in too. Good luck everyone!

Fawn just came thru. Same trail as buck at about 6 yards. What do you think, kill shot? 20231021_173237.jpg

Sorry to hear this. Thoughts and prayers are with you man. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things a person can experience in life. It took me a long long time to get over the loss of my dad. Just have to think of the good times.

And hey… there’s nothing wrong with strippers and blow every once in a blue moon. I kid I kid… maybe.

Got a little buck on buck action going on. A forky came in, so the spike pawed the ground and acted tough. Now they are sniffing each other's butts and licking one another's head. Cool interaction. Now they are fighting! 20231021_180414.jpg
