I'm out in the rain. 18 feet up. 45 degrees. Winds from NW. Been up for awhile nothing seen except on the drive here had a deer cross the road in front of me. 100 yards from my turn o to the property been here since 700 ish
Been very slow here this morning haven’t seen anything going to give it till 1030 then go pull some cards try to figure out where to sit in the morning may head over to some public this afternoon Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Got busted by a doe, had a forky come through and then this dude skirted me. Closest he came was 60. Hooked around the saddle down wind of me but didn’t seem to catch my wind. He was missing is whole left side. These pics are through the binos. I thought he may hook around the saddle and follow this ridge walking into the wind but I believe he’s bedded up somewhere at the start of the ridge.
Cant wait to get today over with. My Dad passed Oct 3rd and its been a whirlwind ever since. Only been in a tree for a few short sits so far because of all the craziness. Today is the celebration of life so it will be a long day but will be great to celebrate with all the people he knew and loved. After tonight i plan on unwinding and de-stressing the best way i know how. Hookers and blow. Nah. Not my style.
Good luck all. I'm out, up half the night , was thinking just my old age /injuries . I now believe every single joint including spine pain is from the lyme disease this spring. Either way I couldn't hold a shot gun for turkey let alone draw my bow today.. Is what it is good days and some not so good. That's life. You all make me smile with your hunts.
Thanks OND he sure will be missed by many. I cant tell you how many people i e talked to that said “he was my best friend”
Damn brother, I can't even imagine how hard this must be for you. Sending positive vibes and keeping you and your family in my thoughts. I hope the coming days are gentle for you.
