    Congrats LC! That’s quite a story, and a great memory for both of you.
    A 38 yard shot on a whitetail through an opening in the brush is one heck of a shot too.

    Just thought of something that made me laugh.
    Remember last year I was bored on stand and made up a stupid little poem? The last line was, “oh woe is me, I just can’t shoot like LC.”
    I was going to say Chris Bee in that line, but used LC because it was more fitting for this forum.
    Your shot tonight sure proves I made the right call on that.
    Again, great shot.

    I remember that. :lol:

    I’ve got to admit, I’m very happy with myself on that shot. Every once in a while everything goes perfectly.

    I felt I could fit through the window but when the buck stopped there was a clump of brush between us but it was a little over half way to him. I decided the trajectory would clear it and when I shot it was a thing of beauty.

    I don’t claim to be good. I’ve botched 15 yard shots before. This shot was one I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

    I know there are a lot of posts I need to catch up on and I’ll get there, but I’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

    I just got him on ice it’s 10:15 and I’m going out in the morning. Now that I killed a buck I’m going to carry the muzzleloader and try to kill a doe. I don’t want to shoot another buck here because I want to bow hunt for a buck at Wattensaw.

    I think that is definitely mega, maybe, looks like a mainframe 6x6/7 with maybe a split G2 on right side.

    I didn’t take blood trail pics. It’s a freaking miracle I could see it.

    Mg brother was mistaken about his shot. It wasn’t a neck shot.

    His bolt went above the spine through whatever those bones that stick up there are called and lodged in the off-side shoulder blade.

    I’m glad he walked by me and I killed him because we would probably still be out there looking for him.

    Can you post mega again? You can do it quicker than I can search it.

    So hard to tell if it is him with top of the rack cut off. Could be offspring/sibling maybe?
