Live from the stand being built. This was quite the workout. I thought by the dimensions I could get it into the back of my truck at least the blind part. I have friends who have trailers and I know I’ll need them. It will be used for late season gun but it will help me get the kids out. I might get it where it needs to go tomorrow or it’s going to make a nice yard ornament for a week or so. I need to put a floor in it to retain heat. I bought it from sportsmen’s guide. Definitely a 2 man project.
Blinds tricky things in late summer. I found a nest not in blind but attached to one of the young chestnuts. It's the size of waist basket. Needless to say I won't be mowing anywhere near that tree.
Good practice platform until you move it...nice Cut by the foot rubber mat from tractor supply, just a thought.
No bears last night. Lots of black tails and lots of bear sign, just no bear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
7ft. Ended up being wider than I thought I was hoping to be able to get it in the back off the truck and let the legs hang out. I have to barrow a trailer now to take it where I need. I bought it from Sportsman guide if anyone is interested.
Still haven't shot my bow.....at this point, with 39 days till the season opens, I think it is going to be a crossbow year for me. Looks like Friday and Saturday will be my days to hunt this season with a week off the first week of November. I'm really looking forward to some woods therapy. If I see a deer, that's a bonus, if I shoot a deer, well that'd be even better! I have zero expectations for this season. This work thing really cuts into my hunting time.
Did you find a good job Joe? Hope ya did after all that schooling. Got my 4 small plots planted in Brassicas last Tues eve. 1/2" rain that night and another 1/2" last night. They up n growing already. Finally a cool/ cloudy day here. Been prepping the trees where I'm gonna hang cams next month. Not sure if I've ever mentioned it before but I take of the straps that come with cams and replace with thin wire. So much faster to hang and conceal.
I did thanks! The private practice where I interned last year offered me a full-time position 2 months before graduation as a fee-for-service clinician.
Thanks, I appreciate it! Kinda made it official and ordered 2 sets of strings for my 175lb recurve crossbow. Now that I've taken pressure off of myself for this year, I'm getting excited!
Here are my two target bucks. Both i have had on camera for 2 to 3 years. There is one buck i’m still hoping that shows up but still haven’t gotten a pic of him. Hoping atleast one of these two sticks around come October! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Made some bacon-wrapped back straps last night. These came off of a mule deer that my dad killed a couple of years ago. That is one backstrap, cut in half to fit into a 9” x 13” dish. I still have the other backstrap in the freezer. Those Alberta deer are a lot bigger than Arkansas deer.
Turnip, Rutabaga, Kale, Clover Plot. Planted July 8. Its surrounded by apple trees with lots of fruit on them.
