Had a unknown deer behind me. Caught my wind and blew one time. Sounded deep. Was only 50 yards away, but couldn't see it. Have a buddy about 100 yards away and he had a little doe come up on him. Last hour, let's go deer! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
He only added to his signature because I added to mine first. lol! All honesty, I had no expectation he would honor his portion of the bet being I couldn't fulfill my obligation last year. More guys should call each other out with friendly wagers to keep it interesting. Without laughs we really have nothing...
Out and home. No other deer came through. Sent from my SM-G990U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
You fulfilled your end of the bet. I’ll do the same. It’ll probably be 5 or 6 November, but I’ll do it, and on public land.
I’m out, ended up getting stuck in the tree for a while. I think I saw 9 tonight, they all came out fairly late. I had a shot at a small doe but just couldn’t do it when the fawns came bleating to her….
Two doe with fawn and two young buck, great future rack potential, out in field. Think they were avoiding noisy woods windy with buckets of leaves falling.
This time of year becomes taking note of the lessons learned each hunt and then resetting each day. Like an nfl dB when they get burned. On to the next play with full attention and energy. Each day is a new chance at dropping a hammer. Short memory.
Up and heading south with dad, about 15 degrees warmer than it was yesterday morning at this time, VS’s buddy inspired me, I’m going to try to sit down wind of some what I suspect is doe bedding, wind will be iffy for the does coming back in off the field, but if a buck decides to scent check the bedding area I should be in good shape!
I figured letting the wife sleep in was the right thing to do, so I'm up with the dogs on the couch. Good luck Adam, and the AM shift!
